What to Pack (and What to Leave at Home) for Camp
Camp is almost here, and we want to help you and your camper feel fully prepared! Here’s a helpful guide to make packing simple and stress-free.
✅ What to Pack
Clothes: Pack a change of clothes for each day, plus extras for wet or messy activities.
Include:
Comfortable clothes for daytime activities
A sweatshirt or jacket for cool evenings
Modest swimwear for water fun
Closed-toe shoes for running and games
Sandals or flip-flops for downtime
All clothing and swimwear must be modest and free of inappropriate graphics or language. Campers may be asked to change if clothing is deemed unsuitable.
Toiletries:
Don’t forget the basics!
At least 2 towels (one for showering, one for swimming)
Toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, deodorant
Sunscreen
Bug spray
Bedding:
Campers sleep in cabins on twin-sized mattresses, so make sure they’re cozy and comfortable at night.
Bring either:
A sleeping bag
orTwin-sized sheets and a blanket
Also pack:A pillow for restful sleep
If your camper gets chilly easily, pack an extra blanket. A favorite stuffed animal or bedtime comfort item is welcome too!
Bible & Supplies:
Time in the Word is a key part of the camp experience.
Please pack:
A Bible your child is familiar with (if they don’t have one, let us know—we’re happy to help!)
A pen or pencil
A notebook or journal for taking notes, writing reflections, and participating in group discussions
These tools help campers engage more deeply in chapel sessions and quiet time.
Helpful Extras:
Flashlight (a must for nighttime cabin trips or campfire activities)
Digital camera (if they want to capture memories—no phones, please!)
Small battery-powered fan (especially helpful in warm cabins)
Folding camp chair or picnic blanket for outdoor worship and group time
Label everything with your camper’s name or initials to help us return lost items.
🚫 What Not to Pack
To make camp safe, distraction-free, and focused on fun and faith, please leave these at home:
Cell phones, laptops, tablets, or video games
Water guns or water balloons
Alcohol, tobacco, vapes
Firearms, archery equipment, fireworks
We want your camper to fully enjoy the outdoors, new friendships, and all that camp has to offer—without screens or distractions!
